Tenaru Falls

It took us an hour and a half to reach Tenaru falls. Me, two other PNG guys, Nemefa and Amoni, George Going and wife fromNZ, Misitana and another young boy.

After a long walk

For nurses studying in Ato'ifi school of nursing, the hardest part of the course is the walking beyond the hills to treat sick people. Norah stopped to cool off.

Everytime guests gathered around me for a pic all they wanted to see was the "tongue"... mind you I didn't have much practice but I've watched a lot of Kiss videos.

PCC: Performing the Haka for tourists is not a beautiful thing to see. As one guest remarked after our performance "you are the most ugliest dancer I've ever seen"... I couldn't believe it when he later say that it was a compliment!

Aotaha

Catching the moment: Koro on the left and Hellen on the right sitting on the top of the Aotaha track, Bellona Island. The picture is not really clear but Rennell can be seen on the horizon from that spot.

Aotaha

Take a walk down the cliff and see the wonderful Cave resort of Aotaha. This is the eastern end of Bellona Islands. Aue toku henua!

Jaytee

This is not one my favorite moments. After a 6 mile road march, we finally stopped for hydration and MRE. Four people had sunstroke and were evacuated by MEDIVAC helicopter, and I didn't even wanna get and get me a drink. CHIIIIIIIIIIIIILLLL boy!

This is one of my favorite things to do on a leisure day, painting pictures. This pic was taken inside my room as I was painting a picture of bamboo trees outside a house using my imagination.

Kalibobo

Kalibobo light house is one of most beautiful spots in Madang, PNG. The LH is directly facing the entrance to the harbor guiding ships at night to the beautiful bay and one of the beautiful places you would see when your flight descending to Beauitul Madang. Oli Ailan lain i go yet long sait na olketa samting i butiful moyet. My friend Oatute and I stopped to catch moment.

Rix and I ... between Hale 4 and Hale 6. This is what I called "midnight lunch". College life is not always a bed of roses, sometimes starvation kicks in and this is exactly what we were trying to avoid here.

Touch Rugby Class 2004

This is my Touch Rugby class, 2004. Our teacher is Tongan Maori and most of the students in our class caucasian who learned Rubgy touch for the first time. The real black dude in the pic is Sope, part Fijian, Samoan, and Buka.

Walking Waiki

Visiting Waikiki every weekend became Andy's addiction and yes one day he convinced me to go with him to Waikiki. We cruized almost every shopts till our toes blistered in our shoes. Andy is from PNG.

TAO-Waikiki

I was shocked to see a couple of Bellonese spears displayed outside the Waikiki gift shop. Tao is a very special thing to Avaiki people then and now. Whoever brought this Taoi to Waikiki made my walk that day worthwhile.
